Split Ticket Risk
Explains the operational risk created by separate tickets.
Split Ticket Risk
Split tickets can lower price or make unusual routes possible, but they also split responsibility. If one ticket is disrupted, the next ticket may not be protected. The traveller may need to collect baggage, clear immigration, re-check-in and absorb costs if the connection fails.
If recommending separate tickets, explain missed-connection risk, baggage re-check, schedule-change exposure, visa/entry risk, and who pays if the connection breaks.
